• Inhumane treatment of animals meant to produce meat.
• Goals of Big Agribusiness:
  • High yield cheap farming
  • Long lasting (pesticides and preservatives) shelf life.
  • More effective, genetically modified foods. For example, because wheat is sprayed with roundup to kill other plants, they have genetically modified it (with bug genes) to withstand the roundup.
  • Rapid turnover which depletes the topsoil making food less and less nutritious.
